What the running desk does
Five screens. Plain English.
Nothing here is promised that the app does not already do. No Ableton Link, SMPTE or StageLinQ. The library is everything we can lawfully ship — never another desk's fixture files.
- Show. Pick groups and lights. Set Dimmer, Position, Colour, Beam and Effects. Store palettes. Ten playbacks, each with a fader, GO, Back, Flash, Solo and Off. Record writes a cue. Clear drops the programmer.
- Patch. Sixteen universe tiles. The selected universe has Owner (This app / Raedia), Protocol (Off / sACN / Art-Net) and an optional unicast IP. Search the fixture library, pick a mode, say how many, and patch. Trial: universe 1 only.
- Builder. Maker, fixture name, modes and channels. Ranges for wheels. Pan and tilt range so “aim at a point” works. Save to the library or export GDTF.
- Cues. Name, fade, delay, auto-follow. Stop here and Move in dark. Timing parts for intensity, position, colour and beam. GO, Back, Off, Go to, Delete.
- Plan. A top-down floor. Click to aim the selected lights. Bring in a drawing (.mvr) from DraftWorks. Send positions out as .mvr. Place lights that have no position yet.
When Raedia pauses the desk, the strip reads: “Paused by Raedia: fades and effects are frozen. Output is still live.” PANIC blacks everything and tells Raedia and the laser app.
